The Muzanga Overlander site offers a unique experience for Overlanders in a rural Zambian setting, close to the South Luangwa National Park. Managed by the local community with guidance from the Muzanga Foundation, we provide travelers with an authentic experience while directly contributing to community development projects. By visiting our plot, you are directly supporting the well-being of our Zambian people.
Be part of something meaningful; 100% of donations directly go to community projects identified and executed by the local residents.
Suggested donation per night: The name of our foundation is Muzanga. This means ‘friend’ in the local language. Building friendships and strong relationships is at the core of our work. That’s why we’ve chosen to offer experiences on a donation basis. You decide the amount you think your overnight visit was worth. Remember, every contribution directly supports our community efforts, making a real difference in the lives of the Zambian people.
Our entire plot operates entirely off the grid, powered by solar energy and supplied with safe, drinkable water from our borehole.
Each site offers:
Private parking; only 3 overlander spots and 1 spot for travelers with tents
WiFi
Ablution block with 2 showers with warm water and 2 toilets
