The Muzanga HUB for development
Muzanga Hub is the heart of the Muzanga Foundation’s projects, located on a large piece of land on the outskirts of Maulidi Village, Mfuwe, Zambia. It serves as a central space where various community-driven initiatives come to life. This vibrant hub is designed to bring together people, ideas, and resources to create sustainable development opportunities for the local community.
Muzanga Hub strives to create lasting change through initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods. The Green Fingers Project focuses on empowering local farmers with climate-smart practices that not only ensure food security but also preserve the land for future generations through soil health management and water conservation. Hands & Horizons provides youth with valuable artisan skills, creating pathways for economic independence and offering alternatives to negative behaviors. Meanwhile, Roots & Rhythms fosters intercultural knowledge exchange through the preservation of cultural heritage, encouraging mutual respect and understanding between the local community and visitors.
Muzanga Hub serves as a dynamic space for knowledge sharing, where both locals and tourists can actively participate in workshops, education, cultural activities, and community events. This encourages equal exchange of skills, ideas, and experiences, creating a deeper understanding between cultures. By bringing together various initiatives under one roof, the hub aims to empower individuals, reduce inequality, and provide opportunities for personal and community development.
The Hub is a place where innovation meets tradition, helping the community overcome poverty, strengthen their local economy, and protect the environment. By supporting the local population to take control of their own development, we aim to build a brighter future for Maulidi Village.
